An apprenticeship is a real job, with real training, meaning you can earn while you learn and gain the necessary skills and professional competencies in your chosen career. An apprenticeship isn’t restricted to 16 year olds anyone over that age can be eligible depending on their industry sector and work role. All apprenticeships include elements of on the job and off the job training leading to industry recognised standards or qualifications. Some apprenticeships also require an assessment at the end of the programme to assess the apprentice’s ability and competence in their job role.
There are different levels of apprenticeships:

Employers can also benefit from recruiting an apprentice. If you are a levy paying employer we will work with you to help you to understand what it means to your organisation and how you can best use apprenticeships to develop your workforce and maximise the return on your levy spend. Employers that aren’t paying into the Levy (as well as Levy paying employers that have used up all their funds) will still be able to procure training under a co-investment scheme. This means your organisation will have to pay 10% towards the cost of training, with the government funding the other 90%. However, if you’re taking on 16 to 18 year olds or 19-24 year olds that have a local authority education and health care plan, the government will contribute 100% of the costs associated with your apprenticeships as well as an additional £1,000 contribution – paid at the three and twelve month milestone.
For both funding routes we will provide first class industry training for existing staff and recruitment solutions to ensure suitable new employees. We will work in partnership with you to apply your organisation’s vision and values to ensure apprenticeships can help you to achieve your business goals. Our individually designed programmes are delivered entirely in the workplace so as to achieve the 20% training requirement while minimising he impact on productivity.
